Our client is a major financial agency of the United Nations, and an international financial institution funded by 191 member countries, with headquarters in Washington, D.C
Qualifications:
Years of experience overall in IT 1-3 years. Ideally will have a master's degree, but good experience and a bachelor's will work.
Must have exceptional interpersonal skills.
Must have superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must be willing and able to learn independently as well as in a group setting.
Technical Skills:
Troubleshoots and resolves software issues pertaining to standard economic applications and packages, including providing hot-line support.
Creates Excel macros for individual users and/or for company-wide use
Tests new releases of standard applications and software packages prior to deployment
Writes user-oriented tutorials on software, hardware, and applications
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Comprehensive knowledge of the use of personal computer operating systems and utilities in an enterprise network environment
Familiarity with macroeconomic data concepts and terminology is desirable
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
Must have initiative and ability to work under minimal supervision
Ability to work as part of a team
Good problem-solving abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborating with our colleagues and users
Experience with macroeconomic data concepts and terminology
Provide support to Economists with difficult Excel needs.
Work with the Economists to understand business and work with economic data.
Work directly with staff members throughout the client site in the retrieval and manipulation of economic data (i.e. developing macros/add-ins to streamline economic research/analysis).
Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 Excel and related application support to enterprise-wide users.
Provide training to enterprise-wide users.
Exhibit a willingness to learn and support users with a positive attitude.
Support anything related to Excel.
