CAD / Design Engineer - Wexford
We are seeking a CAD / Design Engineer to join an Advanced Projects Engineering Team based in Wexford - ideal for someone looking to cut their commute while working on precision-driven engineering projects.
You will convert customer 2D AutoCAD drawings into accurate 3D SolidWorks models, STEP files, and production drawings that feed directly into laser cutting, fabrication, and robotic welding. A strong right-first-time approach is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Create SolidWorks 3D models from customer 2D drawings
Produce STEP files, GA drawings, and fabrication drawings
Build BOMs and production orders in SAP
Support QA documentation and peer reviews
Deliver accurate work to tight deadlines
Requirements
Strong SolidWorks modelling skills
Ability to interpret 2D AutoCAD drawings
High attention to detail and revision control
Fabrication / welding knowledge an advantage
Backgrounds may include Design Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, CAD Technician, or Draughtsperson.
