Field Service Engineer

Our client a leading provider of innovative labelling solutions, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support customers across Ireland. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced printing, labelling, and auto-ID systems. If you are a hands-on problem solver with a strong technical background, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance on printers, labelling systems, conveyors, and handling equipment.
- Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns promptly and effectively.
- Install and configure new machinery, providing comprehensive customer training.
- Manage parts inventory and ensure accurate stock tracking.
- Use maintenance software to generate detailed service reports.
- Work independently to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues under pressure.
- Travel across all 32 counties.
The Ideal Candidate:
Essential:
- Third-level qualification in engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Strong knowledge of control systems and pneumatics.
- Full, clean driver's license.
- Proficiency in computer systems with the ability to learn configuration software.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to dynamic challenges.
Desirable:
Electrical & mechanical aptitude.
Experience with labelling, label printing, and barcode scanning technologies.
