Job Title- Operation and Technical Manager-Ireland & Europe
Location- Ireland
Job Type- Permanent/Full Time

Our client is a leader in Data Centre, Power Generation, and Industrial sectors, is seeking a Senior Operational Lead to oversee high-value transformer, generator, and electrical-equipment projects across Ireland and Europe, including load bank operations and field services.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full project lifecycle for transformer and generator installations, including MV/LV terminations, testing, energisation, and commissioning support with OEMs.
  • Manage cranage, heavy lifting, rigging, civil works, and site coordination.
  • Oversee load bank operations and ensure safe, compliant LV/MV connections.
  • Plan and execute projects across EU countries, managing subcontractors, logistics, and compliance.
  • Provide technical leadership, troubleshooting site issues, driving safety, QA/QC standards, and reviewing technical documentation.
  • Manage subcontractors and vendors, ensuring cost control, performance, and quality.
  • Engage with stakeholders, attending site meetings, commissioning sessions, and providing operational updates.
  • Support business growth, planning, procurement, and resource strategy for Irish and EU operations.


Requirements:

  • Qualified Electrician, Technician, or Electrical Engineer with 7-20 years' experience in transformer/generator installation, MV/LV commissioning, or heavy electrical infrastructure.
  • Experience in heavy lifting/rigging is advantageous.
  • Proven experience managing subcontractors and site teams.
  • Familiarity with data centre or industrial environments.
  • Willingness to travel across Europe.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills with the ability to make independent decisions.
