Operations Support Specialist
Galway Full-Time, Permanent


Our client is Ireland's largest independent furniture retailer, with a nationwide presence and a growing online business. Known for their dynamic and customer-focused approach, they are seeking an Operations Support Specialist to provide vital support to both Retail and Logistics Operations teams at their Head Office in Galway. This is a key role in a fast-paced, growing organisation, offering exposure to multiple areas of operations.

Duties and Responsibilities
Operational Support:

  • Assist Retail and Logistics Operations Managers in implementing, monitoring, and improving operational processes.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend efficiency improvements.
  • Provide administrative support across operations and other departments.
  • Serve as a point of contact for routine operational queries from retail or logistics teams.

Issue Resolution & Compliance:

  • Investigate and escalate operational issues to the relevant managers.
  • Monitor compliance with operational, health & safety, and store/warehouse standards.
  • Support audit processes and adherence to company procedures.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Assist in compiling and analysing operational and sales data.
  • Support performance tracking, issue identification, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare agendas, presentations, and documentation for meetings and site visits.
  • Collate feedback and action points following meetings
  • Handle sensitive information, such as staffing updates or HR-related communications, with discretion and professionalism.

  • Strong ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficient in general computer skills; training provided for internal systems.
  • Reliable, committed, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across teams.
