Senior Credit Controller - North Dublin
Full time Permanent - Hybrid after 3 months
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Credit Controller to join a growing international business based in North Dublin. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take ownership within a fast-paced finance team and work closely with global stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full credit control function, working with customers, agents and distributors, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the accounts receivable ledger.
This role includes an initial training period in the London Head Office, requiring travel to the UK for the first few months (fully expense-paid), followed by a more flexible working model in Ireland. Candidates must have the right to work in Ireland and be able to travel to the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end credit control process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances
- Monitor aged debt and follow up on overdue accounts
- Investigate and resolve customer, agent and distributor queries
- Maintain accurate records of communications and collection activity
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, agents and distribution partners
- Support reconciliations, payment allocations and credit note reviews
- Identify and resolve legacy balances and improve ledger accuracy
- Assist with month-end processes and reporting requirements
- Prepare debtor reports and provide updates on high-risk accounts
- Ensure compliance with internal processes and contribute to continuous improvements
Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in credit control or accounts receivable
- Experience working with customers, agents or distributors
- Strong communication and relationship management skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Strong Excel skills and ability to manage large volumes of data
- Experience improving or cleaning ledger data is highly desirable
- Experience in retail, wholesale or supply chain environments is an advantage
- Additional European languages (e.g. Italian or Eastern European languages) are a bonus but not essential
