Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, our client is seeking an experienced Senior Refrigeration Engineer to join their team in Dublin.
This is a rare opportunity to join a highly regarded Irish specialist business delivering refrigeration, HVAC and drinks dispense solutions across Ireland. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the continued success of the engineering function, combining hands-on technical expertise with leadership, project management and customer engagement responsibilities.
The Opportunity
As Senior Refrigeration Engineer, you will act as a key technical leader within the business, overseeing the delivery of service, maintenance, installation and refurbishment projects across a variety of commercial and industrial environments.
You will be trusted to support operational excellence, drive engineering standards, manage project delivery and provide technical leadership to a growing team of engineers, technicians and apprentices.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Lead and carry out planned and reactive maintenance across commercial and industrial refrigeration systems
- Provide advanced fault-finding, diagnostics and technical support
- Act as the senior escalation point for complex technical issues
- Ensure high standards of workmanship, compliance and safety across all projects
Project Management
- Take ownership of refrigeration installations, upgrades and refurbishment projects
- Plan, coordinate and oversee project delivery from start to finish
- Manage project costs, budgets and resource allocation
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to client expectations
Customer Engagement
- Build strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders
- Provide practical, solutions-focused technical advice
- Support the delivery of exceptional customer service across all accounts
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain accurate service reports, project records and compliance documentation
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- A recognised trade qualification (SOLAS, National Craft Certificate, Master Craftsman or equivalent)
- F-Gas Certification
- Full clean driving licence
- 2+ years' post-qualification experience within refrigeration and HVAC environments
- Strong technical expertise across commercial and industrial refrigeration systems
- Demonstrated project management experience, including planning, costing and budget management
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Fluent written and spoken English
