Role & Responsibilities:
In this role your purpose is to deliver excellent customer service in system administration and to proactively develop and maintain I.T. services to support business objectives. You will have daily interactions with your System Admin team colleagues, as well as with vendors, consultants and sister companies. Equally, you will support and be supported by the I.T. team leaders across the IT function both locally and across the company's division in Austria, Germany and the UK. The employee reports to the I.T. Manager.
Responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to the following:
* System management of Windows servers (Domain/Application/File servers etc.)
* Patch & Vulnerability Management (e.g. MECM, WSUS, Microsoft 365 Defender)
* Management of AD, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy
* Management of software deployment to clients (MECM)
* Support escalation point (from helpdesk)
* System Documentation
* System and Security reviews
* File services (DFS, NTFS etc)
* Execution of backups and disaster recovery (Veeam)
* Management of cloud services (Azure, M365 etc)
* Management of legacy applications when needed
* Administration of nominated business applications when needed
Qualifications:
* An IT or equivalent qualification with business experience
* Experience in Windows system administration
* Experience or knowledge of IT security in a framework such as ISO 27001
* Basic PowerShell scripting
* Experience with backup systems, ideally with Veeam Backup & Replication
Advantageous Experience:
* VMware administration
* System management of cloud-based services (Azure)
* Linux administration
* Datacentre/Server/Network hardware management
* Language skills in German (or another European language)
* Deeper knowledge/experience or team management in any of the above
