Job description

Warehouse Associate

Reports to: Supervisor

Job responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to shortages, damage and customer instructions. To ensure all discrepancies are reported clearly in a timely manner

  • Ensure all delivery documents are endorsed correctly before the driver leaves site. Recording accurately and clearly any shortages, discrepancies or further work required by us to accept the load, ie broken pallets that need to be replaced/slaved, damages needing to be separated or manual handled, extra pallet wrap required to secure the pallet etc.

  • Ensure the driver and stock office receive the same copies of the endorsements in order to challenge the customer or supplier

  • Accurately record the intake temperature of all loads, ensuring all documentation (as per above) is endorsed correctly before the driver leaves site.

  • Transfer pallets from loading bays to relevant room via WMS using handheld scanners

  • Operate MHE in line with training and Health and Safety

  • Carry out all other warehouse Associate duties as instructed by the management team

  • Ensure the "checking in" process is carried out in line with the associated SSOW/SOP

  • Pick customer orders using pick sheets

  • Pack customer orders into appropriate boxes and building on pallets

  • Wrap and move completed pallets to relevant storage area, including pallet card as applicable

  • Adhere to the Company HACCP Plan and food safety arrangements at all times

  • Work in a safe manner and adhere to all Company Health and Safety policies and procedures, including wearing protective equipment

  • Flexibility to work within any of the areas in the warehouse

  • Follow instruction from the area supervisor and manager

  • Complete all training as identified by the company
